Lyric video for Arthur Moon’s “Ghost Ranch” single, off their album Chaos! Chaos! Chaos! released in 2023. Arthur Moon’s use of the GT Walsheim font on their self-titled album struck me as a type of micro-branding, so while this single is from a new album which will have its own visual identity, it made sense to utilize this font again for the lyrics, interspersed with animated hand-written text, which compliments the food illustrations. Bandleader Lora-Faye requested “gross food” for the video imagery, so to execute that I focused on odd pairings of food (shrimp and chocolate chips, for example), food that can change (a hotdog losing its bun), and the jello salads of the 1950s.
